Detailed Frequency Requirements
Construction Sites
Every 3 Months
Construction is classified as a high-risk environment under AS/NZS 3760:2022. All portable equipment — tools, leads, boards, portable RCDs and site office equipment — must be tested quarterly.
Industrial & Warehousing
Every 6 months
Factories, workshops and industrial environments with heavy tool use or harsh conditions require 6-monthly testing. This includes most manufacturing and warehousing operations.
Offices & Retail
Every 12 months
Standard commercial office and retail environments require annual testing. This covers computers, monitors, printers, kitchen appliances, power boards and extension leads.
Hospitality, Schools & Healthcare
Every 12 months
Annual testing applies for most hospitality, education and healthcare environments. Commercial kitchen equipment in high-use environments may require more frequent testing based on a risk assessment.
